any chance you could provide a URL for the review? It's not clear from
the intelligent enterprise site which article it is you're referring
to.

There is an article by Ventana Research

but it seems long on preamble but with no actual survey results at the
end.

It's a guide published by Ventana Research every year (or certainly
for the last couple of years) covering the scope of each BI vendor's
tools. It provides a list of questions as to the tool's functionality
and then summarises the findings in a crosstab. It uses 100+ questions
to assess the capabilities of each tool, and I've often found myself
using it when I need to compare one product against another. (Saying
that, I've not been able to find the question list on the site at the
moment, but last year there was a full list)

It's the best free (and unbiased?) guide that I've found.
