I'm have been using BusinessObject for a while and just started
learning Cognos ReportNet and I seem to be missing functionality that
will allow me to use Summary tables transparently (as I was doing with
Aggregate_Aware in the BusinessObjects universe), does anyone knows
how it is done in ReportNet?

Do it back in the database where it belongs with materialized views.

Cannot.
Our fact is in SQL Server, it is visible in Oracle as well but as a
view, using Heterogeneous Services.
Even with just Oracle, our constraints between the fact and the
lookups are fairy "loose", so we might have problems with materialized
views any how.
