Hi,
Server was upgraded from 6.61 to 7.1MR2. After UPFPACK/UNPACK and
UPFADMDB -B/-R and moving PPSROOT, common folders are available but personal
newsboxes are empty. Has anyone experienced this? I logged a call with
Cognos but they are saying the migration path should be 6.61 - 7.0 and then
7.0 to 7.1. Any thoughts on this.

Yeah the supported migration path is only via v7.0mr2.
You may want to look at the UpfUnpackRules60.txt which contains
flags indicating whether to ignore Personal NewsBox content or not.
Default behaviour in UnPackRules files is to ignore that stuff.
May account for why you're not seeing anything.

It's very unwise to try skipping v7.0 as there were substantial
changes made in the way Imported_Reports is managed.

however modifying the upfunpackrules.txt should resolve your issue. I would
recommend re-initializing the upfront datastore before performing the second
unpack. Take a look for a file named upfinitialize.bat in the cer3/bin
folder and it should clean up your datastore. Cheers.
