Newbie questions on Cognos.
If I load a data cube into Cognos with following structure: the cube
has three variables:Actual_Forecast, Month, Sales.

The variable Actual_Forecast can have two different values: Actual,
Forecast.
Month variables stores the calendar month, from Jan07,Feb07.... to
Dec07
Sales variable stores the sales in dollar amount.
Actual data is from Jan07 to July07, while Forecast data is from Jan07
to Dec07

I would like to utilize Cognos chart functionality to make graph(such
as multiline chart).
The user can group several months together to display the chart. On
the chart, I would like to show the line graph for Actual data only
when sales amount is greater than a threshold (say $100,000). However
I would like to show the line for Forecast data for all the month. In
other words, on the chart, I would like to show 12 months line graph
for Forecast data, but only show 7 months line graph for Actual data.
Wondering is there a way to incorporate this IF-THEN condition into
Cognos to selectively display the graph? Thanks,

Try to add a calculated measure, based on sales (with if condition)
and add this measure on Actual and the sales measure on Forecast.

But how do I put an IF condition in calculated measure. I am currently
view the cube as a user.
Do I have to be a Cognos developer in order to do that? Thanks again
