Default Objectivity/DB installation (again) - 12-29-2003 , 05:04 PM

I have installed Objectivity/DB twice already, every time had
different problems but succeeded eventually.
Till now. I have no idea what this may come from.
Here it is. I'm installing it on my Compaq laptop, with debian
sid and kernel 2.4.23 on it. I do all that is pointed in the
installation guide. Installation goes fine, except for some errors
which I think aren't fatal (maybe I'm wrong) - the error log
is here: http://brustracja.sisco.pl/install.log
When I try to execute the lock server it tells me that it cannot see
liboo.so.7. I have the path to this lib in $LD_LIBRARY_PATH and it
solved the thing in my recent installations. It doesnt now.
Even if I try to start the lockserver from the library dir itself
it doesnt go, saying: bash: ELF: command not found
I hope it's rather a linux problem than objectivity problem, but anyway
I cannot think of a way to solve it.
I'd be very grateful for any comments and advice on it
Regards
Borys Musielak

ps. I need objectivity for my master degree, so don't tell my to ask my
system administrator to help me - I'm on my own ;P

OK, this was the matter of gcc compiler. It didn't work with 3.3.3, with
2.95 installation went fine.
