Default Free new language, IDE, & data-management system for Windows - 06-14-2005 , 05:37 AM

Oko is a new development and data-management tool for creating Windows-based
applications. It uses an object-oriented language similar to C++. A set of
versatile visual-design tools makes it possible to create applications
practically without programming. The environment includes data controls, as
well as query and report designers... Get more info and download Oko at:
http://ploko.net. We need testers.
(Oko continues OsloData, an old data-management system).

No, you need to be careful where you post. CDMA doesn't allow
advertising.

CDMA is moderated by it's users.

And we do tend to jump on people who advertise here.
It's a long and honored tradition.

If you'd prefer not to run afoul of it, go elsewhere.

Sadly, teddysn.. forgot that another one of the rules is not to quote
the whole message, and give the advertiser another free round under
_their_ name.

Besides, can one really *advertise* freeware?

I couldn't resist the play on ploko/plonk-o.

And Chuck, while we're talking about motes and planks, what about
top-posting? You forgot that one, bud.

Edward.

There's nothing in the FAQ about top-posting vs bottom-posting.

Personally, I prefer top-posting, but I try to follow the method used
by the person I am replying to, so that the "flow" of the thread can be
more easily followed.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet?

Actually the most annoying thing on usenet is top/bottom posting arguments.

Invariably caused by people top-posting. Never caused by people
bottom-posting. Do you get it yet?

Edward, you've been on this newsgroup, how long? Usenettiquette
arguments are very irritating and are most often caused by people coming
into a group and demanding the prevalent culture change. 8)

Top/Bottom posting is very often reflected by the group culture, though
of course the "default" is bottom (and my own preference). You'll find
in a lot of technical groups top posting is acceptable because of the
nature of one time replies and urgency of inquiries.
