Default developing a Object Oriented Database - 08-23-2005 , 12:37 AM






i am doing a research on OODBMS.I want to develp a object oriented
data base(ex:jemstone,object store) i have downloaded jemstone ,but
don’t know how to develop the data base. i want to know if there are
any online tutorials or any references that help on developing
oodatabases.
please some one help me................

If you are using Smalltalk, you have all OODMS code available.

For GemStone goto http://support.gemstone.com/
(an active OODBMS)

For OmniBase goto http://www.gorisek.com/WikiDoc/WikiPage
(a passive OODBMS)

Is not easy to impement a complex OODBMS by you own.

GemStone/s is really HUGE.
OmniBase is less complex, much smaller, but very good and fast.
