Default Suggestions for backup utilities - 01-15-2007 , 01:47 PM

Hello,

I am looking for some suggestions. I need to come up with an automatic
or simple backup software for my MySQL db. I have tried using the
backup fuctionality of the MySQL Admin tool but all it does is dump a
HUGE txt file. I prefer FREE solutions. The server as well as this
solution would be running on a Windoex (XP Pro) system. Any help would
be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris.

There are several admin tools around. What exactly are you talking
about?

Probably a SQL dump of your database. What is your problem with that?
The only hard requirement for a backup: you must be able to restore
your data from it. Did you try that? Did it fail?
