My version is 5.0.92-community. Which manual would I download?

Hi Mike,
You would probably want the INSERT...SET...-syntax
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/insert.html

Which is not standard SQL and not a good thing to use.

I like to use the good things MySql has to offer. This is one of them.

You can do it with standard SQL, though.

...but you don't want to tell anyone how that works. You'd rather wait
for the thread to escalate, then throw in some valuable insults.

Nope. I told him how to find it.

Tell the person an answer and he'll be back next time he has a question.
Teach him to be able to find it for himself and he'll be productive.

Natch. Jerry doesn't actually KNOW anything. Except how to turn on error
reporting and how to turn off people.

So says the stoopid troll who never has contributed anything useful to
this or any other usenet group. That's because he's not a programmer
(or the engineer he claims to be) - just an out of work ditch digger who
got fired because he couldn't figure out which end of the shovel to use.

But that's why he tries to hide behind a 'nym - he's terrified to have
anyone find out just how stoopid he really is.

Jerry,
If you really think/know/feel that there is some ignorance in the words
of anyone who is replying to you, than i would suggest to you that you
do not reply. This will save a lot of useless posts in this group

After all, YOU are the guy with the most experience! i Hope this also
takes into account life-experiance, and not yust some RDBMS-stuff....

Because he is Soo stoopid, and utterly predictable.
And making Stuckle traps is at least as much fun as MySQL.

Not much evidence of either..
He MIGHT have been a common (or garden) coder a long time ago before he
set up his failed training company.
