PITech is managing a state-of-the-art development project with the DoD
in Durham/RTP, NC. We are looking for a bright minded SQL/Server DBA
type who knows their way around the 2008/2005 SQL/Server technology
space. As a team member you would be engaged in supporting a
sophisticated and highly complex Decision Support application for the
U.S. military.

Will do…
• Liaise with development team to understand the Data Model changes
and advise on performance
• Monitor performance and managing parameters to provide fast query
responses to front-end users (Query optimization)
• Develop reporting components using reporting technologies.
• Ensure the performance optimization of the DB.
• Develop Physical DB Schemas.
• Develop DB Procedures and Scripts to automate management of the DB.
• Development and troubleshooting.
• Map the conceptual design for a planned new DB
• Consider both back-end organization of data and front-end
accessibility for end-users.
• Working closely with IT PM's, DB Programmers and Web Developers
• Develop DB code and reporting module for integration into an
application.
• Requirement Analysis, Bug Fixing & Production Support.

Should have…
• BS Computer Science or equivalent education and experience
• 4+ years SQL/Server DBA experience
• Expert in SQL Server 2008/2005 TSQL programming, complex queries,
stored procedures, views, functions, transaction processing, Packages,
Table, Constraints etc.
• Ability to write Stored Procedures, Triggers, Constraints, views and
DTS/SSIS Packages
• Good knowledge of SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and SSAS (SQL
Server Analysis Services)
• Basic knowledge about ensuring that storage, archiving, back-up and
recovery procedures are functioning correctly
• Possess strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English with good communication skills both written and
verbal
• Should have at least one complete SDLC experience.
