Default SQL 2K5 beta 2 setup problem... - 05-05-2007 , 02:48 PM

Hello,

This is driving me nuts!! I have

Windows 2000 server SP4
visual studio 2003 (.net framwork 1.0)
visual studio 2005 beta (.net framework 2.0)

I am trying to install SQL Server 2005 Beta 2 and I get this error when I
start the setup process

The procedure entry point _vswprintf_c_l could not be located in the dynamic
link library MSVCR80.dll

Can anyone help???

Any specific reason that you want to install a three year old beta version?
If you are able to comlpete the installation, you will have to change
the system clock, because the beta has expired.

If you just want to play with the real thing, download SQL Express
from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=64064 or the Evaluation
Edition from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...0-2d07993566ec.
