Default SQL 2008 R2 on Windows 7? - 07-22-2010 , 02:29 PM

It seemed to install fine but when I run Managment Studio (2008 R2) I
can only log into the existing 2005 instance. Add/Remove Programs
(well, the W7 equivalent) shows that 2008 R2 is installed. I just
can't seem to access it.

Any hints?

Have you verified in SQL Server Configuration Manager that the service is
running?

Do you spell the instance name correctly?

Do you have SSMS on the same machine as the server?
