Default License needed to install MS Management Studio and client tools? - 10-27-2010 , 09:04 AM

Hello, do we need a license to install MS Management Studio (and other
related client tools) on workstations to connect to licensed SQL
Server servers?

Thanks

Hi Daoud,

No, you don't.
But if the server you connect to is licensed on a "per connection"
basis, you do need to ensure that you have purchased sufficient licenses
for the additional connection.
