Default How to Installing MSDE in win2K pro - 07-29-2003 , 02:23 AM

I am new to MSDE and want to deploy it in my company (because it is free).
However, when I install it in a W2K professional machine, there is a message
box saying that a "strong SA password is required". How can I solve the
problem?

there's a command-line switch which allows you to specify the sa
password. I can't recall what it is off the top of my head, but try

<installername>.exe /?

to get a list of parameters and examples of usage

sort-of, yes. make sure you run through the licence terms and make sure
it does what you want without actually being disallowed....
