Hi maged, There is no need to "join" this group. Just read messages if the usbject interests you, post questions if you have any, post replies if you happen to know the answer to other people's questions, etc. I see from the headers of your message that you are accessing this group through the Google Groupps interface. Maybe you are thinking that this group is specific to Google. It is not. This is a group on usenet, available to anybody who can access a usenet server. This grooup is also mirrored on several web sites (Google Groups being one of them), using a different layout but presenting the same content. I know that Google Groups has *also* a number of groups exclusive to Google Groups. Maybe these do require people to "join" the group; I don't know, since I don't use Google Groups. I seem to recall seeing them once, and noting that on the Google interface, there is no easy way to tell the difference between a private Google group and a public Usenet group mirrored on Google. But resst assured - this group (comp.databases.ms-sqlserver) is a public Usenet group; there is no formal or informal process required to join - just read, write and enjoy! -- Hugo Kornelis, SQL Server MVP My SQL Server blog:http://sqlblog.com/blogs/hugo_kornelis |
