Default Conn. Prob. contd: 'logon restricted' [Mngm. Studio] - 09-22-2007 , 05:09 AM

Hello again,

and thanx again -
I now found something unexpected - that hopefully is the cause of my
problem? :

In Man. studio > security > anmeldungen (engl. login names or users or
accounts or so?) > right clicking on any user and properties, > status
Quote:
sql server authentication is greyed out!!? (and it says like "logon
restricted" or denied, besides the greyed checkbox, don't know what's
the words in an english version). Why is that? for the server, sql
server auth. is allowed. Where can I change that??

Thank you!!!! D.

It's greyed out, because once you have create a login, you can't change
it from being an SQL Server login to a Windows login and vice versa.
Those choices only matters when you create a new login.

Thus, what you see is perfectly normal.
