Hello
In an Access 97 database I have an table with some URL's (one URL for
each record stored in a hyperlink field). The target for the URL's are
some jpg files at the internet.
Now, I would like to run a procedure from Access that loops through
the records, and for each record reads the url and saves the target
file (the jpg file at the internet) to a local disk.
Can this be done from VBA? (There is Windows NT and Internet Explorere
in the pc)
Thanks in advance. |
Thomas,
I have an application that I'm working on that is so similar to what you're
doing its scary. What I did was use the Microsoft Internet Transfer Control,
which comes with VB6.
There are other alternatives. I've successfully used the Winsock control
with Access and that's not too difficult to use. I'm pretty sure that it
either comes with windoze or is free.
What is your application? Mine is an e-commerce kind of thing. It pulls
pictures from my customer's supplier's database and puts them up on another
site in another catalog. (With permission of course.)

Mike
