I'm trying to print a barcode, and it doesn't seem that Microsoft has
a standard font available, that I could find
so I downloaded a font, and stored it in C:\WINDOWS\Fonts
but when I look at report's text control font list, the font is not in
the list ?
is there a different folder that access2007 looks in ?

Like any other font, in the Windows font folder.

I just had to close and reopen the ms-access mdb
