Default is there a replacement for CDO with office 2010 - 06-07-2011 , 06:36 AM

per Microsoft kb articles
you cannot use the outlook object model as part of a process
(scheduled task)

CDO is not supported with outlook 2010, though you can install and
use it

so in the past, due to rule 1, I used CDO to extract calendar entries
now we're updating to outlook 2010, and the 'not supported' statement
of rule 2 prevents me from using CDO

is there another option that doesn't include learning C++ or C# ?

In what way are you prevented? Does it no longer work? Just because it is
"not supported" does not necessarily mean it will not work. There are many
"unsupported" technologies still in use today.
Unfortunately, I am unaware of any alternatives.

yeah, I can't find anything either... and I agree with your argument
not supported vs doesn't work...
