When I open and close a database in 2002, a message appears: "There
was a problem sending the command to the program". The locking file
remains open in the folder (or seems to); when I go to another folder,
then return, the locking file is gone. When I open the file, the
message flashes briefly. When I close, you must select "OK" to close
the warning in a window. The message does not appear in 2007, however
some of my users still have 2002 or 03. Compacting and repairing
doesn't help. Closing with the upper X, not the command button
doesn't help. How can I get rid of that message? Nance

listing. You shouldn't need to do this though.

I would suggest re-installing Access 2002. I suspect there's an
invalid registry entry somewhere.
