I have a client who has just installed Windows 2008 Server and uses RDP on both LAN and remotely to run my application (Access 2002). It worked fine on 2003 Server, but now the remote desktop displays my screens in a resolution which is difficult to read. I'm informed that 2008 Server has removed the facility to adjust the resolution for RD either from the server or remotely. Has anyone else experienced this problem and have a solution? -- Bob Darlington Brisbane |

Using old Windows 2000 workstation allowed me to set the resolution to something usable. RDP is limited to resolutions on the terminal that are compatible with those on the server. Note virtual machines are accessed using the same RDP client as Terminal server, but are quite different; in that each session is completely independent of others on the server. |

I use remote desktop to connect to client servers both 2003 and 2008 and have never had any problem with screen resolution. Maybe it is the version of remote desktop client that is being used. There is a new version, which even allows spreading the desktop across multiple monitors. http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/e...displaylang=en -- AG Email: npATadhdataDOTcom "Bob Darlington" <bob (AT) notheredpcman (DOT) com.au> wrote in message news:4d9132fa$0$13389$afc38c87 (AT) news (DOT) optusnet.com.au...
