I have a split Access database with the backend located on a server
and the frontend on user desktops. Database generally has about 10
users at a time. Some people have office 2007 on their computers, but
most are still using 2003, so we've kept the db in 2003 format.
Database seems to work flawless for most individuals, but there are
about 4 people (all 2003 users) who everytime they open the database,
it appears to be read-only. At first I thought it was a record
locking issue, but it doesn't appear they can edit any record in any
table. We've verified that their access to the server is correct.
Any ideas we can try to troubleshoot this?

Do you get any error messages/

What happens if you open it with the Shift-key to get to the database
window? If you create a local table on the FE can it be modified?
