Default odbc - mysql - database engine stopped the process .. - 05-16-2011 , 05:42 AM

i have MsAccess connected by odbc on Mysql
if i try to delete one specific record ( only this one ) i obtain the messagge:
"the microsoft office access database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time"
if i delete the record from mysql with an SQL "DELELET ...." i solve.

but after some time the problem reappears on another records !

Are you doing this via a form based on a linked table? On that form
are you using an SQL statement to perform the delete or the forms own
'native' controls? This sort of thing can happen when Access thinks
there is more than a single 'user' (read: control accessing) the
specific data you are trying to delete.

What I usually do is to have my 'read' data based on the results of
SQL queries, and deletes done by a separate SQL. I hardly ever base a
form straight off of a table. In order to get to the bottom of this I
would need to know a little more about how your form or process is
working.

Cheers

My God you are the dumbest fuck Aaron. Seriously you need to get your
head out of your arse, your hand off your doodle, and grow up. I dont
know what your malfunction is nor do I care. The only thing you could
possibly add of value to any thread is your absence. I have been
patient and objective with you, but that time is over. You are nothing
but a turd trying to hide behind the anonymity of the net to express
your childish rage fantasies and delusions of grandeur. Your problems
are definitely your own and your credibility is zero. Little man
wanting to be big. You must disgust everyone you meet.
