Hello, I am in need of some help concerning hyperlinks. I have this small database where the "front end" is part of a bigger database and the actual data is in it's own "back end" file... only one table. There is one field with a hyperlink so the users can click on it and open a .doc file. The problem is the hyperlinks don't seem to be "in sync" with each other (do not know how else to explain it), I can create the hyperlink in the "back end" and re-import the table into the front end but even though the link works in the "back end", it won't on the form the user's will be working with. I can delete the link in the "front end" and recreate so it will work in the front end, but once I load the front end on muliple machines and know the path exactly... it will be cumbersome to have to go to each separate machine and create the hyperlinks. Also, the "front end" part will be installed on machines without Access so I am not sure if it would even be possible to fix the hyperlinks. What I need to be able to do is create or fix the hyperlinks in the "back end" and have them work for the "front ends". I hope this makes sense of my problem and what I am asking... if anyone has any experience with this and can help in any way it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance, Safarinut currently using Access 2003 in the 2000 file format Windows 2000 right now, but will be upgrading to XP soon |
