Default How to set up report - 07-29-2003 , 01:22 AM

At the top of my invoice report I have a logo and company name and address. This
all needs to appear at the top of each new invoice. Some invoices have many line
items so carry over to a second page. I don't want the logo and company name and
address to appear on the second page when this happens. How do I set the report
up so that the line items can carry over to a second page without the logo and
company information when there are many line items but have the logo and company
information at the top of each new invoice. When I put the logo and company
information in the report header, I only get them out on the first invoice and
subsequent invoices do not have the logo and company information. When I put the
logo and company information in the report page header, I get them out on every
page including the pages where the lineitems carried over to a second page.

Thanks!

Cassandra

Right click on the report and select Sorting and Grouping. Create a new
header by selecting InvID or whatever you primary key is for the table, and
set the Group Header to true. Put you logo stuff in this section.
In the properties for this section you can set the RepeatSection property
(false by default)

Cassandra,
You could setup a grouping on the invoice number which contains the
the logo and the company information. On the invoice number group
footer you can set the force new page property so as a new invoice
starts at the top of the next page.
