Default help!!- deleting information from a table when selected in a combobox - 12-30-2007 , 07:09 AM

I am making a database for a dress shop, which hires and sells prom
dresses. I am creating a form where the user selects the customer
using a list box and then using a combo box to select a dress. The
combo box is connected to a query which looks in the dress information
table and the dresses which status is for sale will then be shown
inboth the query and the combo box.

The Problem I am having is that, when the dress is selected on the
form and is saved to a sales table, I want the orginal dress
information for that selected dress to be deleted in the dress
information table. Does anyone know how i can do this?

Hope that makes sense

Thank you

I'm not sure why you would want to delete the dress information in the
dress table; wouldn't you rather mark the item as unavailable, or
something like that? Anyway, to do what you want you would need to
create VB code in the dress combo box's AfterUpdate event which deletes
the corresponding record in the dress table. Hope this helps.
