Hey there
on a daily basis i import data from an excel sheet into access and
append it to a particular , in this table there is the ID field which
auto generated and also
the primary key for the table.
what i did first was to export that table to excel and use that file
as a template for importation.
whilst importing i have a error that i have violated the primary key.
however in the excel file i do not put any data in that field as i
know it is auto generated ...

any ideas fellah's

Sounds like you need to exclude the key on Export or make the
autonumber field a Long instead when importing or use an ImpExp spec
that skips that column.
