Default Encrypting with a block cipher is incompatible with row level locking - 02-12-2011 , 06:41 PM

A2010 messagebox. When I add encryption to a database I receive the
subject line's message. Any idea what that means? Is it good, bad, or
indifferent? If bad, what does one do to correct?

What exactly are you doing that produces the error?

I don't consider it an error. I think it's an informational message.
But it might be an error. It's hard to know. I was hoping somebody
could translate Microsoft into normal everyday English.

What I'm doing? I open a database in exclusive mode, select
File/Info/Encrypt Database. Then I receive the subject line's
messagebox. I assume it works as I am now prompted for a password.

Funny. I google this message and I get a link to this thread on
UtterAccess. On support.microsoft.com? No way, Jose. It's possible
even Microsoft doesn't know what the message means.
