Cindy,

It may be worth looking earlier in this thread for a comment by Marsh,

" Be careful with the Terminal font. It is not a full solid
box in all versions of the font distributed with various
verions of Windows (e.g. may lack a top or bottom row of
pixels). You may be interested in this article:

I understand that Marsh has been heavily involved in the Labox font
which may be more appropriate but would need separate distribution.

If you use the Terminal font for a specific control, wouldn't the
control stand out, when compared to the other controls?

John

Just tried to look at the Terminal font. I use Win 7 Pro with A2003.
The Terminal font is present in c:\Windows\fonts and its detting is
"Show" (as opposed to "Hide"), but cannot make it available within
Access. Any ideas?

My mistake! Keep the BackColor transparent for everything, both the
data textbox and the back textbox, and make the back textbox's
ForeColor the color you want.
Then, when you fill it with text, it will appear a solid box. If it
is empty, it will not show at all.
Just make the font size large so that it fills the entire box.

I haven't had any problem with Terminal. My code was originally
written for XP & A2003, and still works well with W7/A2007.
I will use the new font in the future. Thanks for the heads up about
the fonts.

I didn't fully understand the question about the font, John.

Cindy

Cindy,

I do not seem to be able to make the Terminal font available in my
Access application, even though it is present in c:\Windows\fonts and
has a status of "Show".
