Complaint registered with News Server and E-Mail Provider for violation of
their Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. By copy of this posting, I
am advising the Spammer to read the FAQ for this newsgroup at
http://www.mvps.org/access/netiquette.htm to verify that such advertising is
unwelcome and to verify that the charter of this newsgroup does not
specifically permit unsolicited advertising.
You would think, wouldn't you, that a Spammer smart enough to use freebie
e-mail and news accounts so they won't lose anything but a little time when
they are kicked off for violating the TOS and AUP would also be smart enough
to know that a bunch of techies asking and answering technical questions are
not a prime target for marketing cheap data entry services (particularly
since a large part of what Access developers do is enable end users to do
their own data entry).
But, of course, we will remember their name just in case our managers do ask
our opinion, won't we?
And we might respond with something like, "Why, yes, I do remember
"dataentryoutsourcing" -- they are the ones who refuse to follow the USNET
rules and go out of their way to irritate people trying to accomplish some
real information exchange in the newsgroups. They don't seem very reputable
to me. Maybe you'd be well-advised to try to find another data entry
service; or, better yet, boss -- tell me what the need is and maybe we can
entirely avoid having to do that step."
