That being said, if you are dead set on building your own tool, look at http://www.exif.org/ for information on EXIF data. |

Thanks Tom and David, and you're right ... I may have been trying to re-invent the wheel. |

I have downloaded a free trial of Photoshop Elements, but haven't spent much time with it yet. Is it just a scaled down version of Photoshop? (I guess I'll find that out when I get a chance to get into it.) |

When you check out the property sheet for most photographs in Windows Exploder, you will see fields like: f-stop exposure time ISO speed Focal Length Max aperature ... etc. Is there a way to glean and display that info on a form or report? A windows API, perhaps? What I'm working on is a database of sample images as a visual "shoot list", and having that info might make setting up the shot a little quicker. Hopefully it's easy and quick to implement, as my daughter's wedding is this Saturday. No Pressure! LOL |

LOL I don't know if this helps, but in Adobe Photo Elements 2.0 the catalog .PSA files were actually Access database files. *You could rename the extension to MDB and have access to all the photo data that you'd see in the catalog. * * I have no idea if this works for newer versions. |
