Default Archive a "Frozen" copy of the Database (?) - 06-25-2012 , 09:24 AM

The boss has asked me to "freeze" a copy of a database every
so often. By "freeze", he means a copy that can be read
normally, but that no one can change (data), without using
extraordinary tools.

Is this possible?

a. You could set the file's Read Only attribute.
b. You could put the file into a folder for which users only have Read
permissions
c. Depending on the version of Access, you could use workgroup security

Personally, I would go with option b.
