Hi, I have have an Access 2003 application with Sql Express as back end. After migrating the front end to Access 2007, users have a serious problem: One form contains text controls bound to date fields. When one user opens the form and clicks the date control, the application does not react for about 10 seconds. If the user types a date in that time, the characters appear only after that 10 sec. period. There is no event that's fired by typing in that control. Has anyone observed something similar ? I have a hard time trying to convince the customer that my application is fine and that they should return to Access 2003 ! Thanks, Patrick Honorez www.idevlop.com |

As an information for whoeveer has the same problem, the slowliness was not due to the date control, but to the date FIELD, and to a bug in Access, when using SQL Server tables. The (very strange and seemingly unrelated) workaround is to hide the Ribbon !!! |
