Those who are on StackOverflow.com may have witnessed Aaron's short time on the stage there. He lasted for less than a month of actual participation -- when he started posting comments and answers, he did exactly what he does in the newsgroups. But since SO works differently than newsgroups, his answers got voted down and his comments got repeatedly flagged. He was severely warned by the moderators to cut it out, and has apparently stopped visiting SO (assuming he wasn't banned for a period -- I'm at moderator level on SO now, but know nothing about how discipline works). If you're interested in what he's done there, his two profiles are here: http://stackoverflow.com/users/56588...f?tab=activity http://stackoverflow.com/users/57236...f?tab=activity It was quite rewarding to see that SO works well enough that someone like Aaron can't get away with his crap in that kind of forum. -- David W. That said he did get a few postings with upvotes. *IIRC they were straight SQL Server Q&As though. There were a couple in Access threads where he brought up really interesting points, and I asked for more information, but he never responded to positive responses (though he certainly responded to my criticisms). I also voted up one of his answers, because it was a GOOD answer. -- David W. Fenton * * * * * * * * *http://www.dfenton.com/ contact via website only * *http://www.dfenton.com/DFA/ |
