Which editor are you using?

Visual SlickEdit

What are your settings of II_WINDOWEDIT and II_WINDOWVIEW?

II_WINDOWEDIT points to Visual SlickEdit and
II_WINDOWVIEW points to vi.

I expect II_W4GL_SYSTEMEDITOR=TRUE.

Actually, I take this back :-)

I have II_EDIT and II_VIEW set. *Do I need to also have II_WINDOWEDIT
and II_WINDOWVIEW set as well?

Thanks

Dennis
OpenROAD will open a process for the editor and will wait until it
terminates - this will probably clarify why you should close the
editor.

II_WINDOWEDIT and II_WINDOWVIEW allow you to use templates for your
editor command.
This way you could also use a shell script that starts the editor,
saves the script to some other location, etc.
See http://docs.ingres.com/OpenROAD/2006...windowedit.htm.
