Default TRUNCATE TABLE statement - 02-22-2009 , 07:59 AM

Does anyone know if the widely supported TRUNCATE TABLE statement is
actually ANSI/ISO standard SQL? A quick Google didn't answer this for
me, but I'm not very patient with Google searches.

I don't believe it is. I searched a draft PDF of SQL Foundation,
from a couple years ago, and it's not in there.

Thanks Ray. So it's a recent addition to the standard. That explains
why none of my rather stale references mention it.
