One of our Ingres installations has the following
variable set:

ING_SET=set trace point rd020

Does anyone know what it actually does? What effect will removing it
have?

It caused problems because we had users in the installation who where
not allowed to set trace points and so had trouble connecting to
databases.

definition debug info. I would guess that at one point Tech Support
was chasing an RDF problem, and someone forgot to remove the trace point
setting.

Get rid of it.
