Hi Komathie,

Your post was rejected because it was too large. Please try to keep them to
around 100Kb.

Sid may want to see a full copy of the errlog, I suggest compressing it
first before mailing it directly to him.

This is an Ingres issue not related to OpenROAD as far as I can tell. I've
forwarded your mail to info-ingres (comp.databases.ingres )

I suggest you log a support call directly with Ingres corp to make sure you
don't lose data.

anyway, here is my feedback.

The top part of your errlog.log shows that machine was shutdown suddenly
without a formal ingres shutdown.

That has left the iidbdb database inconsistent with an open count
discrepancy.

See this line from your errlog.log

I can't explain these other errors. It looks like you are trying to operate
on the installation using a non-ingres account.

The missing charset file is a worry. Are you sure your disks are working?

You will probably just want to rollforwarddb iidbdb from the last valid
checpoint. (You have been backing up regularly and you have you have a
recent checkpoint and all the appropriate journals) At this point you
should obtain the services of a qualified Ingres DBA or open a support call
with Ingres Corp to make sure you don't lose important data.

kind regards

Paul
