Default Ingres 10 Beta - 06-30-2010 , 01:52 PM

'Ingres 10 Beta' (http://tinyurl.com/27qv6aq) now available for download
on Linux 64 bit.

The beta release of Ingres 10 is a functionally complete version of the
Ingres 10 product. It is a more stable version of the product, as
compared to Engineering builds that are also available for download.
The beta version may not have all of the fixes available in later
Engineering builds, but has undergone more testing. You should download
this build instead of an Engineering build if you are looking for better
product reliability. Note that this release also supports upgrades from
earlier versions of Ingres. Feedback on the beta product can be
provided either through Ingres Service Desk or via the community forums.

'Ingres 10 Beta Documentation'
(http://esd.ingres.com/product/docs/I...s/Complete_Set) is
now available for download.

Hi Teresa,

I can't download the documentation. My browser says no!

No problems downloading 10.0.0 build 127 though.

No, the IVW ingres-side code is a sort of pre-release 10 that is
rather older. The beta level 10 is being integrated into IVW
as we speak, although I don't know how it will show up.
(I think the plan is for the merged ingres-side code to appear
as IVW 1.1.)

Hi Marty,

The RPM doc dowload looks okay but there does appear to be something
wrong with the ZIP download. I'll have someone take a look into the
issue.

Regards,
Teresa

Hi Marty,

Having said that, I received "Error Fetching http headers" when I first
checked this out. Went back to retry to officially log the problem & of
course have not been able to reproduce the problem at all.

What error did you see when attempting to do the BETA Doc download?

Thanks,
Teresa
