Windows XP TERM_INGRES Setting Posted by twilli02 at 2005-Mar-08 04:46 PM
Can anybody tell me what to set the TERM_INGRES value to in Windows XP. I
currently have it set to IBMPC. When I run a forms based utility such as
"tables" I get a bunch funky chanracters, number, and letters. The FKeys
work and it functions properly but just looks real bad grafically.

AM That depends on the used font. Try IBMPCD, it doesn't use the extended
graphic characters, so when using a font that doesn't

Hello,

II_CHARSET<ii_installation_id> = WIN1252
TERM_INGRES = IBMPCD

Works fine for me on W2K for r3

If you still don't have any luck, i would recommend unloading the
database and reinstall. I initially had the same problem and
TERM_INGRES was not working, and as it was only a test installation i
removed and reinstalled leaving the character and terminal defaults.
