Hi everyone, I'm having trouble installing IngresII 2.6 on an elderly Linux box. I get the message: gtar failed with exit code 127 /user/ingres/install/gtar: relocation error: /user/ingres/install/gtar: symbol error, version glibc_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference. I replaced the install/gtar with a symbolic link to /bin/gtar. But the install now fails with problems regarding directories created under install/tmp. All the directories have permissions 644 rather than 755. Anyone got any ideas what I'm doing wrong? cat /etc/redhat-release Fedora Core release 5 (Bordeaux) uname -a Linux biobank.ctsu.ox.ac.uk 2.6.15-1.2054_FC5 #1 Tue Mar 14 15:48:33 EST 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux Martin Bowes |
