Aussie Rules.

BTW. The dockers showed plenty fight but just couldn't score when they
needed to. Hawks had a comfy win to keep their hopes alive.

The Dockers? The Blackhawks are playing the Red Wings ...

We are talking hockey, no? (Is there any other sport?)

Hi All,

I'm trying to build Ingres from the opensource and I've gotten a clean compile, but when I try to audit the release with buildrel -a I get:
Error detected at line 53 of release.dat:

Part names donot match:

[charsets]
[collation]

Syntax error at line 53 of release.dat of syntax error

Line 53 of build/manifest/release.dat reads:
DEFINITION collation.prt

Anyone got any ideas whats gone wrong?

Hi Me,

I don't know what I did but...

I gutted the source area, reinstaled the 930_build_149 source and confirmed it would compile and build.
The I reapplied my alterations and....now it builds again.

I have no idea what went wrong initially, but I'll take this as a win and move along...

Marty

'burl" is defined in "The Complete Barry Mackenzie" as "to have a stab
at"

Thanks for offer Marty,

One thing I wasn't doing was watching the Dockers and the Hawks!

Once or twice a year, on the rare days when it does rain, I make sure
the kids stand out in it for a while just so they remember what it's
like, and can tell their kids about water falling from the sky. (Their
kids won't believe them of course) You never know, each rainy day might
be our last...

John

Hi John,

What are you doing up this time of night?

I'm sitting in Oxford, I've got 'The Age' sports ticker going and I see
the Dockers are slowly being ground down by the Hawks.

Its about to rain. Again...

Do you want me to soak a sponge in the rain, pop it in the post and you
can show the kids what water looks like?

Marty

Marty,

If you hit this sort of error again, instead of doing a full rebuild,
try this:

cd front/st/specials_unix_vms
jam -a

There is a subtle build problem somewhere in there. Since the solution
is so easy I've never been sufficiently motivated to hunt it down.

Cheers,
MikeT

I did, about a year ago. It will materialize this week; I had
mentioned
it to J but he was busy and I guess it got overlooked.
