Does anyone know the dates for Ingres beta or GA on Ingres on OpenVMSItanium

We don't have firm dates yet. We've recently made some changes in the
product that we hope will expedite its availability. The product will
be undergoing QA testing in a few weeks. Depending on how that testing
goes, that'll determine when the product will be available for beta
testing.

I should have elaborated a bit more in my previous post.

The recent changes in the product I was referring to is a recent
decision to change the port to use internal threads instead of POSIX
threads. The existing product we have today that runs on VMS Alpha also
uses internal threads, so we can leverage that experience in doing the
VMS Itanium port. POSIX threads will be revisited in the future.

Assuming we don't find any catastrophic issues in QA, we're targetting
beta availability in late Q1.

We have been waiting patiently for any further news on OpenVMS Itanium.
We are into the 2Q now and still no beta.

Please provide us with an update.

The beta product is in the very last phases of QA testing. Testing is
expected to complete at the end of this week, at which point it will be
available for beta testing.

9.2.2 for OpenVMS Itanium 8.3 and 8.4, in standalone installations, is
now GA and available for download at http://tinyurl.com/23prwrz.

Clustered installations can be beta tested using the eval version at
http://tinyurl.com/28uk6oc.
