We are thinking of migrating from VMS to Linux.

When I try to compile a Fortran file within ABF on the Linux system
(SUSE) I get an error that the "g77" Fortran compiler is not installed.

We have "gfortran" installed on the SUSE box.

Can anyone remind me of the file which sets up the Fortran compiler - if
anyone has any experience of using gfortran on Linux I would be grateful
of any tips on what*** "to do"/ "not to do" .
