We received this reply to the question of availability of Ingres on Windows
and/or Sun/Solaris yesterday:
Ingres 2006 is the Ingres Corp branding for Ingres OpenSource released under
the GPL license model which is currently available for download for Linux-x86
32-bit (NPTL) under http://www.ingres.com/products/Prod_...ad_Portal.html.
Ingres 2006 for other platforms (including Solaris and Windows) expected to
be available in the next 30-60 days and/or in Q2 2006.
Ingres r3 was the latest release available from CA under CA-TOSL license
model. Since we no longer support CA-TOSL we no longer provide this release
publicly though we fully support customers using this release and licensed
enterprise support already.
Should you require Ingres r3 just let me know and I'll provide you a link to
download the binaries.

I keep checking the Ingres web site each week for Ingres 2006 for
Windows, but haven't seen anything yet.

Any rumors when this is going to be made available?
Thanks.
