Hi Paul,
It must be an iidbdb thing.
This is a cooked location. Simple test is that multiple databases have
been extended to use the location.
Furthermore on a test box, I made a new work location and then tried to
extend iidbdb (only) to use the new location...and got the same error
messages.
Should I raise a bug?

E_US0089 refers to a raw location - which can only be used by one DB at
a time. If ii_work_2 is not raw then it may be confused by the fact that
it's iidbdb.

Subject: [Info-Ingres] extenddb and iidbdb
Hi All,
On II 9.2.0 (a64.lnx/143)NPTL + 13767
When I try: extenddb iidbdb -Uwork -lii_work_2
I get errors:
INGRES EXTENDDB Copyright 2008 Ingres Corporation
E_US0089 Another database has already been extended to the indicated
location.
(Fri May 14 14:04:41 2010)
E_IC0046 Error(s) occurred extending database 'iidbdb' to location
'ii_work_2'.
I can do the extend on any other database. Why would it care if the
location was already being used anyway?
Ideas?
