It's used for iirel_idx during sysmod.
Modify of the core catalogs doesn't use the normal mechanism of writing to
a new blank disk file and then doing file renames. It actually writes to a new
table and then swaps tables. If I thought about it for a while I might remember
why it does it that way. If you see an "iirtemp" table that's also a core catalog
sysmod thing.
