Default [Info-Ingres] Data compression - 05-14-2010 , 04:11 AM

Hi all,

a simple question I hope. If I have a journaled table with data compression
enabled will records in the logging system & journal files remain compressed?

Regards,

Dave Stephens.

Yes. When a log record contains a row, it's the compressed version if the
table is comressed. Likewise, in 10.0, if the table is encrypted, the log
record will be encrypted.
