Hi Paul,
No answer.
But as the machine is now back in the hands of systems support who have
started using the expression 'Toast', I suspect it will be sometime
before I have to worry about it again.

Hi Marty,
Did you get an answer? I had a similar experience on linux but with an
upgrade.
It was spinning on upgraddeb waiting for exclusive access to imadb.
I had forgotten to disable rmcmd.
What process was spinning?

Hi All,
I have a nice new virtaul host running Linux. I'm trying to install
9.2.0...I've done this many times before, but on this particular host,
the whole thing has effectively stalled with the cpu in 100% wait state.
Anyone got any ideas what may be wrong.
