Default syscolumns table - 08-26-2005 , 11:38 AM

hello

in each DB, there is a syscolumns table. one of the columns in that
table is called "Coltype". can someone point me to where i would find
the table that will tell me the actual column type. the coltype field
in syscolumns displays a SMALLINT. thanks

There is a chart in the IBM Informix Guide to SQL: Reference manual that
will define the values in that column. I'm not aware of any table within
the database that stores those definitions.
